A friend of mine works as a observer on this helicopter so I had the chance to take pictures, and I took like 300 detailed photos

I couldn't resist to apply some color to the model:-) It looks a lot nicer then the clay renders. I'm now in the detail fase, So i did the rivets on the tail. Later on i will detail the fuselage and the rest of the helicopter.

Since september i follow a 3D Animation course and we use Maya for everything, i like the program very much!

do you also like the m~w plugin for maya ... what about the workflow ?

Yes that is possible, I will post a wire picture tomorrow. To be honest i haven't tried the pulgin yet. Is it easy to use? I think it is better to render this model with the plugin instead of importing the whole scene in the Maxwell studio because it is pretty big.
