I've been meaning to do this for a while now. Test the classic SSS scene:
(original)
SL:21.95
Rendering time:71h14m
Simulense: 100 Diffraction, .5 Scattering
Photoshop: Noise reduction + Curves
What do you recon?

WOW, 2.5 is remarkably quicker with SSS!
For the same sampling rate, version 2.5 is
450% the speed in my SSS budda test + The quality is MUCH better!

Interesting test! But you should not campare SL's between 2 and 2.5 as they are in different scale. You can compare only noise level and if you do, you'll probably see thousands of percent speed increase in this scene.
