Nice first render. And welcome to the club!
Maybe a better lighting setup would help to make the render more dynamic. Looking forward to seeing many more!

for some reason I cannot quit grasp I get the feeling that you use rhino. 
you should reset the camera focus and add some more exciting lighting to the picture..
