I bought Maxwell Render Studio six weeks ago and have finally had some time this week to start playing with it seriously, I'm very excited about the possibilities. I modeled everything in TopSolid Design and exported as a .obj files. Do you pros have a preference between .obj and .3ds?
What I would like to learn and work on this week is creating a light emitter from an image for the windows, or would it be better to add the image in post in Photoshop?
I'm also trying to get my head around displacement maps, bumps, and normals, I'm new to 3D Modeling and rendering, I've always been and pencil and paper type of person but I did not want to become a dinosaur so I bit the bullet and bought Topsolid Design and Modo.
I would appreciate any creative or technical input
Thanks
