Senseo Coffee Maker

Here are a couple of renders from what I'm currently working on. The coffee maker and kitchen environment I've fully modelled to scale in SolidWorks, but the scales and toaster are courtesy of Evermotion. :D

There's an absolute ton of noise still on the coffee maker (after 60 hours) - especially around the SSS water filter - so that still needs to be ironed out. The floor tiles look 'bumpier' than I thought they would, but it turns out they're going to be cropped out of the composition by the end anyway.

Any thoughts or tips would be great. Thanks.

Then just an environment light shot because I thought it looked nice:

And for those interested, here's a quick clay render I did previously, showcasing some of the detail:

Nice coffeemaker. Do you have any close-up renders of it?

Thanks! A close up of the coffee maker has been added.

You should try a region render on the noisy part, then composite with a object-id pass as a mask. Maybe that can get that noise cleared up.

Very good idea - thanks. I'll set that up to render overnight.

Rob, great modeling. The one thing that bothers me is the tiles on the backsplash, they look a little big and too shiny.

If the backsplash is supposed to be made out of the plastic (fake tile) wallcovering, then it is spot on. If it is real tiles, then it could use some tweaking.

Philmartin: Thanks! The tiles aren't based off any specific type in particular. We had a couple of kitchen catalogue's that we used as a reference and there were tiles like this apparent on a few of them. We liked the colouration and the mood of these ones. :D

Bubbaloo: Just to let you know, the technique you mentioned yesterday worked perfectly on the SSS section of the render - it's cleared up significantly. Needs a bit more time, but it's very nearly there. Thanks again!
