hi.
a new wip from me ...
some problems with the bisazza texture, which i fixed already.
then the water of course (hope I find a solution there).
and I have absolutely no idea, why the light at the end washes off the colors of the side walls so strongly.
any other suggestions?

thanks, kami

Generally a nice image, but I must say that all Maxwell problems are here!
I mean the problem with dielectrics and light passing through.... Your water needs some work, as you already said, but I think it will need something more.... There are 1-2 tutorials about water especially when you want lights inside...The most important though, is that your light geometry doesn't intersect with water geometry.

I have had many problems with one of my projects and finally I had to use another app for my night scenes.

It's a great start. The ripples in the water are good for a windy day, but no wind in here...

I'm curious to know how you modeled the water in regards to the underwater lighting.

Maybe the scale is off? It could explain the problems with light and the odd water material.

Yeah, I tried it completely without waves, but I'm missing the caustic effect on the ceiling and the reflection of the back wall gets too heavy. I try some different waves at the moment.
the water is just a plane at the moment. but the water material isn't very good for that condition. I'm trying a different material at the moment, which works fine (but without refraction) and everything below the surface gets a bit dark. Let's see if I can leave with that. If not, I'll have to look at the threads in this forum, but there are so many solutions that I've lost the overview.
Since I don't have strong machines, I'll let it render over the weekend now. Update on monday!

Water has been succesfuly simulated with a material like 80% AGS and 20% dielectric... or something like that...

the water looks fine for my eyes (except for the missing refraction). maybe I'll find the time to try something different there
