haven't rendered anything in a while, so i thought i would play with some architecture.... also trying to get some of the kinks out of network...... network rendering seems to have a mood of its own sometimes..... "securing server"??? that's a new one for me?

inspired by an image from recent issue "The Plan"

This is a really good render, especially for just getting back into the swing of things. The only thing I would change is the ground texture, it looks rough like coral instead of stones, that being said, I really like the wall textures and the lighting. Good job, I like it.

thanks killian! i'm taking a stab at displacement..... haven't played with it too much so hopefully i will be able to fine tune along the way....

i tweaked the displacement map by adding blur.... but i think too much.... also seemed to loose a lot of interior glow by switching out the floor map , also flashing band at bottom may be too strong.... hmmmmmmmmmm

:(

about to set another one in Q.......

Looks like a photo at first glance!

Only thing that is a bit disturbing are the holes in the concrete exactly on the corner (right to the window)...

Displacement looks good - but could be reduced by 20-30% IMO.

nice work!

Thanks amigos!

Kurts, thank you for your keen attention to detail, i will adjust uv before final render.

made a few minute tweaks here and there towards the end of last week, planning to make a few more, then send it over to the 10200's to cook at a higher resolution.... also have a new study i plan to start working on within next day or so.....

It seems to be a fryrender file?

hmmmmm....... no. i don't even own/have access to fry? (blasphemous!!! :D )

In Maxwell Studio, within the Environment Settings, at the top:

Load->From Disk->point to file ? it should then set all your environment parameters according to what is set in the file....... (Maxwell 1.7.1)

just downloaded the file from the source, saved to desktop, and worked just fine?
