A couple personal projects

Thought I'd post a couple of my current projects, get some feedback.

Everything is Rhino3D and Maxwell.

First is an architectural study of sorts. I love old school factory/warehouse architecture so I started recreating a building from a factory complex in Atlanta that's been demolished. All I had to go by was a couple small pics and a satellite photo. I'm having a hard time finding a picture from the front, so I don't really know what the entrance looked like.

Early exterior:

Basic interior:

Since I don't know what the building was used for, I thought I'd turn it into my dream shop. Office/studio space and fabrication shop on first floor and apartment space on second.

Empty shop space, I plan on adding all the equipement (mill, lathe, welder etc):

A really long-term project, I've been working on this tricycle model since early '02. I've got many of the parts to build it and the model is plenty accurate to build from. Just waiting to get some other stuff out of the way so I can build the real version.

Rendering from about a year and a half ago:

edit: Almost forgot one!

I picked up a Nikon F3 from a coworker recently and decided it'd be a good piece for a product visualization practice session.

Mostly complete camera body. Using a bump map on the leatherette parts, everything else is modelled:

Completed body with 105mm f/2.5 lens:

Some materials applied to the body. I need to rework the leatherette to tile better, otherwise it's pretty close:

With lens. I got the coating on the glass to look right, but it's opaque:

Added the rest of the glass in the lens and played with the material. I think it's pretty close. Just need to bring everything together now:

Thanks for looking!

Couple quick updates.

First the camera. Still needs some texture work, and there's some polygon interference in the lens.

I started adding some rough placeholders for the equipment in the shop area. I'll redo these next month when I visit m dad's shop and can take some measurements from the real things.
