Lost in Space: B9 WIP

Well ... the radio was cool, but moving on to a new WIP.
More retro action, ..as it were. The B9(the robot) from Lost in Space.
I've always thought it'd be cool to do, .. so why not.

I didn't know this, .. but there's an overwhelming amount of reference material for this guy online. It's mostly the result of the B9 Builders Club -- a few hundred guys who've actually built one from scratch. Joining the club costs $28 which I was pretty much forced to join if I wanted to get accurate resource material --- and I do, .. so I did.
Main parts:
Bubble
Crown / brain
Neck
Radar
Collar
Chest plate/ Torso / Arms
Control plate/buttons
Legs/ Knees/ Tread box/treads
I'll be knocking out the hardest part first: ...the torso.
Here's a fiberglass replica made from one of the originals.

So it oughta be fun. This isn't going to be any kind of speedmodeling venture I can tell ya that. lol .... Actually, .. it might even be one of these --- how long are you gonna drag this thing out ??? kinda WIP's
Alright .. I'll try not and drag it out.
Last thing, ...something that's concerning me about rendering is getting those emitters behind the glass to come out proper --- I don't think I've been able to achieve a good result to date with that type of scenario ----- so, ..I'm open to advice.
Later.
