Hello All!

Finally some time over to do show you some fun stuff.
This is a project I've been working on for some time.
Havn't got time to post anything from it until now though...

Since I'm a fan of fancy hifi-equipment why not model the setup of my dreams :)

Here is a few wires!
I have a hard time posting while working so here is the wireframes from the modeling phase...

Some of you probably see what it is :)

Now its pretty clear huh?

Continuing with the record player!
This is one is called Nordic Concept and is made by a good firend of mine.
Its about 13 000 Euro, but it plays like a GOD! :)

This is a short version without the power conditioner.

So.. Starting of with the body:

And after that, the most important part, the arm...
This is one of the best arms out there!

MP3 players are very good for other reasons ;)

Anyway the image above is an image of the plasma tweeter in Acapella Violon. Dont ask me to explain how it works :)

They are ugly as s*it, pretty bad when it comes to WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) but they sound great.

Not so special when it comes to modeling either, so here is a quick render from Microstation:

On monday I will start with texturing and rendering.
I'll probably try to do a fancy Hifi-room with all the equipment together.

Thats all for today!

Oh my god, what is it!!?? Kill it with fire!

I remember seeing such a thing in one of our big electronics chains, and it was around 13000 as well. I was totally baffled and wondered what it could be. So this thing probably has to do with sound, enlighten me what the glass tubes are about :o

Awesome model, i totally dig the wire views :D. Screenshot or toon render?

Hello Adrian :)

Well the Acapella Violon has a plasma tweeter that produces a very special sound. One of the best speakers I've listened to actually.

More about the plasma tweeter here: http://www.plasmatweeter.de/

And here is a video that shows what plasma is, kind of :)

The "glasstubes" are mounted on a tube amplifier, and these tubes are kalled KT88, one of the most common tubes when you talk about tube amplifiers.

The tube amplifier produces abit softer sound, and in many cases a more dynamic sound. Its my personal choice when it comes to amps :)

OK, enough with the OT now hehe

Glad you liked the wires!
Its quick renders rendered with "filled hidden line"... its a kind of toon rendermode in Microstation.

Though I can model in this Filled hidden line mode if I want.
When I render it I Just get the antialiasing and a better res.
