hi hi, now that i have some free time i can get back to rendering stuff. Here is a little project i have been working on...

the sugar cubes need a lot of work still, they have proven rather difficult to simulate.
i also have to rebuild the spoon, it has some issues.

The glass and liquid look good.
The wood surface is too low res for a closeup.
Sugar cubes need grainy sparkly texture.
Why not get real sugar cubes and take a photo for texture?

i am using a real sugar cube as the texture =D but i cant work out the twinkly and sub surface scattering of the sugar. You get nice twinkly bits when the grains line up with the light and the edges glow as the sugar transmits light, but for the life of me i cant do it :/
