Hi all,

Image

This is my first arch viz with Maxwell. Office block is one I modelled several years ago. I have rendered it with materials off the Maxwell Material website (some adjusted a little). The location and scenery is all made up from various photos, this is not an actual photomontage.

C&C welcome, (but not on the architecture! I had nothing to do with that and the architects might get upset). There's still things I'm not happy with in the image but I thought I'd post it and see what you all think.

Powerbook G4 1Ghz, 1GB RAM - took a very long time to render!

Very nice images...
Welcome!

I would suggest to de-saturate the sky just a little or make it a little more close to cyan-grey.

A bit more contrast and some sharpening can do magic for these images I think.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments. They are all very welcome.

fellazb - I see where you're going with your comments, I did go a little way down that route, but not as far as you (the light is not quite as stark as in Greece  ), and that is why the sky went a little over saturated...

JTB - thanks, I agree the sky is oversaturated, I did a global contrast, and applied Tim Ellis' method of Equalise and fade with soft light, which led to this.

Tea_Bag - thanks for the  . They're good for the old morale and ego!

Bubbaloo - appreciated coming from you. Thanks.

I have worked on the levels a bit, taken your comments on board and reposted the image. Slightly better I think. What do you guys think?

Cheers.
