Here is a massing model that I am working on.
As of now, it is full scale with sun and sky, but I after I am done modeling it, I will scale it down to 1/8" = 1'-0" and use hdri/emitters for lighting.
Any suggestions to improve this will be greatly appreciated!

I'd change the color of the building. You're losing the actual massing right now.

Thanks, good idea.
Here's a small update.
I may be heading in the wrong direction with this.
May be time for a re-start...

Hrm.....I still am not liking the black on the building. Try using the black or a lighter grey for your topo and making the building white.
....because it's all about what I like, right? lol Sorry for sounding rude there.

Now I know what a massing model is although I don't know how this sort of thing is used. The lighting looks very natural. Maybe the light door colour is too close to the colour of the land. I think that orange tag (right side of image) is pulling the eye away from the model.

Nice start bubba, though I have to aggree with the suggestions above, do the building white or something like that.
Nice to see the progress of this!

Brian, ... is there a reason for not taking the building to white?

It just started with grey, it's not final yet.
I probably will go with white.

Bubbaloo: Your model is coming along nicely. Is this to real building?
