This looks like the kind of thing that you can perform with Cinema 4D and Mograph.

Hello Tyrone!
The parametric thinking is available in other applications as well, and a pretty simple construction like this can easely be modeled in any other application.
But there must be a reason why large companys like Fosters, Arup, KPF etc are using GC. What I've heard the closest you can get to GC is probably Catia.
But I'm just a newbie with GC atm, so I cant really give you any more details.

I've searched for a good document to show as explination, since it probably takes 20-40 hours more practise to actually be able to explain what GC is hehe

I guess GC is a piece of software that works inside Microstation, or is it standalone?

Yes Microstation XM and Microstation Triforma is Required.
