Hi, this is a new work in progress. Hope you like it. Reached SL17 in about 13 hours. The window background is photoshoped.
Tell me your opinion and any ways to improve it.

Kitchen looks very good though it could use a touch more contrast IMO. Nice job.

I find the window post work isn't as good as the render. You can see the edge where you masked it in (esp. around the chopsticks) and there is a big colour jump happening. Outside is much warmer than inside. I would suggest warming up the interior to match, it would be much more inviting than cooling off the window shot.

Hey Mark, good work.

IMHO, MXI background will be a good choice for the outside of window . :)

Thanks for your comments guys.

I know its quite hard to properly place a background in this image since the depth of field blurs the edges of the window...

Therefore as sandykoufax suggests it will have to be done in Maxwell.

I'm working on a better composition of the background and I'll post new images soon.

Thanks again.

This is a new version with the MXI background. It definitely blends much nicer, although as simmsimaging noticed there is a difference in temperature with the interior.

My problem is that since the window is out of focus (due to the depth of field) I had to find a background that is out of focus too. This background comes from a photo I took long ago, that fits to the situation.

Comments?

The only thing I see for possible improvement are the two wine glasses. At present you can see the thickness of the glass at the sides of the wine which doesn't look correct. Have a look at a real glass with liquid in and you will see what I mean.
