Hi all,
Novice rendering but looking for c&c's.
Image is WIP and needs inhabiting with trees, cars, people (current silhouettes for scaling only).
Cheers/

I love it already! the shift lens is playing tricks on my eyes!! that's cool!
Try and give the glass a soft bump so that it doesn't look like a perfect flat surface, this will add to the realism of your render.

nice start!! the concrete material has something a bit off scale in its textures and the terrain has some geometry problem (maybe with smoothing?), but camera and light are quite effective! will that become a lake in the foreground?
cheers

Thanks for comments guys - unfortunately I don't have enough time to render again completely but I will keep all advice in mind for next time!
The stone cladding map was far too large I agree so I have worked on it in photoshop along with the lake/road!! - i like to see a reflection of the buildngs and lights in the road, even if it does look wet!
Final image below - with more time I would have liked to have populated it more and spent time on the landscaping.

looks very nice, but I really prefer with the black silhouettes... the color ones are just not there..

Thanks Herve,
I agree about the silhouetted people entirely but 'real people' was unfortunately a client request.
In fact, I prefer not to try and achieve photorealistic renders, but to create images that are much more monotone and which rely on lighting and reflections more than realistic textures.

Great work! I would like to see it render longer to reduce noise. Also, did you follow the advice about the glass?

Lovely render!!! The road is a bit slippery, i guess that's why you got rid of the cars!!!

Thanks for comments guys. A longer render would have been nice but time constraints make that impossible at this time! If I get a spare weekend I'll let it run...
As I didn't have time to re-render the image I didn't follow the glass advice on this occasion but will be incorporating it into any later renders.
