Looks good!
I like the water much more than Fry's; with which engine do you feel more comfortable?

somehow i'm missing some depth in this image. did you try to render a zdepth map and composite in photoshop to introduce some degree of atmospheric perspective? like in a real landscape painting of the 'old masters'? maybe that would help to give a better spacial definition to this image? it's always good to see with the painter's eye (con l'occhio del pittore)...
there's a very well done explanation of this here (sorry in italiano only):

ps. maybe it's also about the texturing, maybe did you use the same texture maps with r=0 and r=90 in your textured materials? this makes surfaces looking mostly dull, without much spacial definition.

The water wheel should be darkened on the paddles, ...from the water, ..you know ? ---- saturated. That would help...
Nice scene.

Very nice.
I would agree that the paddles do not look wet on the wheel, and I would add that the material for the canvas cover of the chuck-wagon does not seems to be up to the quality of the other materials. The repetition in the grass is a little noticeable but it is slight.
I really like the composition.
Cheers,
D

Yes! Very nice. The only thing I don't like is the background. It just doesn't look right to me. Maybe it's too sharp? Maybe add a blur and simulate a little haze in PS?

Do you have any reference for those paddles? I've never seen a wooden mill wheel with such attached curved paddles. I know of either straight wooden paddles, set between wooden wheel rims, or curved paddles, set between steel rims. Or kind of shovels or buckets, attached to the wheel - but only for top-water-wheels (is that right? - where the water meets the wheel top to bottom). Exposed paddles like these might not last very long in a stream where pebbels, twigs, or other debris might wash along. Not like I'm an expert - but to me this model looks kind of technically unreal..

The two horses are over-saturated with colour. Reduce the saturation level of the textures a bit to blend in the the rest of your scene. Perhaps change the positioning of the sun a bit?
