Just playing around with poly-displacement on the embossing, might be of interest to someone..........the bottle's supposed to be 'old' but I haven't nailed it yet.........
Both rendertimes around 2h30m to sl14 [@1k pixel-wide orig size].

Thanks Chris, glass looking better now but the enviro needs some optimization......

.......small windows & low light levels are giving me a treacle-like benchmark.

......this after 8 hours across 4 cores:
Next job starts on Wednesday, so I've got a day to finish playing with it.

How did you create the poly-displacement?
Looks very nice BTW.

Hi, it's just a high-poly surface displaced by a greyscale map in Lightwave, saved as a 'transformed' object and dropped into MWstudio.

You have dispersion turned on for the glass? Is it really needed in this case?

Dispersion is on for the bottle yes, the tumblers are ior based.
You're right I probably don't need the dispersion, I'll see what happens to rendertime if I switch it off.
