Hello :p,

I just post some unfinished works here if you have technical or artistic comments please tell me, I would like to improve all this stuff! Currently trying to focus on some projects to have high quality finished images (and not only wips :p).

(most recent first)

SSS skin shader WIP (MW 1.7):
Working on a skin shader, experimenting with modeling and inclusions with new sss. Both models are wip. For foetus, eye is AGS ball, mouth is a cavity in main mesh, liver and brain are blood preset. Still need work so comments are more than welcome !

DragonFly scene WIP (MW 1.1):
Aiming for a realistic render of a surreal scene for illustration purpouse

Living interior WIP (MW beta and 1.1 for more recent):
Aiming for a realistic interior with visible life

Few lookable tests (Beta stuff):

Your interior scene looks very promising in the photoreal sense !

Also great texturing on the dragonfly.
(is the background a little dark ? ... were you looking for the strong vignetting on purpose ?).

Looks good so far. Dragonfly is very cool. The wings are very nice how did you do that? Transparency map? Your scale looks off on your interior scene. The last image with the ashtray on the table has too much dof. I dont think you would get this if the scale were true to life.

thanks all for quick reply!

devista, Nico :D nice synchronicity!

Thomas, thanks, the background is a very light skydome, I didn't look for vigneting but for small focal! I like the vigneting output however you are right, it is too dark! It's a tricky image with PC/Mac different gamma..

Eric, yes, the dragonfly is one material and the wings are made with clipmap/transmitance technique; but it still needs works.. I can post an example of the maps and material if you want! Yes the ashtray image as a bit much DOF, I was probably testing manual mode on Maxwell camera! :D

Salut Bisounours! no HDR, it is a softbox + very low intensity physical sky or skydome

Superb. 8)

Some motion blur on the dragonfly's wings would look wicked. ;)
