Monthly challenge?

How many people on here get 3D World magazine?
I tend to use the free models that ship with the magazine, for material tests etc.
I forget who mentioned the idea of a monthly challenge using these free models, but I thought it might be worth following up.
If you do subscribe to 3DWorld mag and would be up for a monthly Maxwell challenge, using the free models that ship each month, please post your interest.
If there are enough people, then perhaps we could run something each month.
If there are not many of us who subscribe, pehaps an mxs file can be set up with the latest model included.

sunlight, yes it was you.
We'll see how much more interest there is and then perhaps try something with the Jan edition, which should be out this month.

Ok new edition of the mag is out, but on first glance there's not a lot to work with.
I'm thinking that we could use the Realflow 4 demo, which is available on the magazine cd or from the Next Limit website, for those who don't subscribe.
I'll check through properly and see if there might be a model or two to use if the RF4 idea is no good.

Ok. I live in sweden so it might take some days for me to get the magazine, but I RF4-contest would be extremely cool.

A reason for me to really try that out.

I've had a look at the cd and there are 11 building models free. These are in .3ds format with textures & uv mapping.
I think this could be the basis, with RF4 being used in conjunction with these models if an artist wishes.
I'll knock up an mxs today, for the nonscribers and set about organising this months challenge.
Please confirm if you are interested in participating, so I can send out a file to those who need it.
Cheers,
Tim.

If there's a need for mirrors of all these files i can be of assistance with both server space and bandwidth.
