Here are two small bubble simulation attempts, just for fun.

Static Bubble (click image to download)
Image
Rendered @ 300 x 300 up to SL15 in 14 min per frame on Pentium D820 (50 frames total)

Chaotic Heavy Bubble (click image to download)
Image
Rendered @ 256 x 256 up to SL14 in 9 min per frame on Pentium4 2.8HT (50 frames total)

Bubble on the Street(click image to download)
Image
Rendered @ 512 x 512 up to SL14 in 35 min per frame on Pentium4 2.8HT (50 frames total)

Below is the material I've used for the bubble.

For turbulance simulation in chaotic bubble, I scrolled thicknessmap texture UV.

The animations require latest version of Quicktime player.
Don't forget to loop the animations while viewing ;)

Cheers,
Tom

...again with the physically-correct-ness, eh? :D

Neat 8)
I like the droplet at the bottom ... did you use real-flow for that ?

he he ... what a wonderful idea. Looks very realistic, also the animations.
Exellent stuff

(I suggest you upload your stuff to a permanent server instead of using RapidShare and the like)

Thank you everybody for the critics and compliments :!:
I'm cooking a high res version with a better interference pattern and a detailed environment.

Jeremy: Thanks, sure it's physically-correct :) I wonder if there are alternate software which can map the thickness of thin film interference.

Thomas: Thanks, the droplet is completely hand-modeled and hand-framed. :)

David: Thanks, I'm planning to create different setups with these bubbles. ;)

Xlars: Thanks, I will surely place them on a permanent source when I'm done with these..hehe
