No amazing subject matter. I was just impressed with what Maxwell can do.

I just quickly modelled my darts here at work for a lighting test...

Good good, it looks like your "test" was successful :D that turned out to be a pretty much photoreal one. Is that some variation of flashlight you used ?

Thanks you for your kind replies

Maximus 3D... Yes, I created a small plane around 15mmx15mm, gave it an emitter material and placed it directly above the camera.

The environment is 4am 01/07/05 in Madrid.

I have no idea whether the Emitter is anywhere near close to a camera flash, but it creates a nice effect none the less.

Ahh yes :) i thought so since the location of your shadows seem to be pretty much straight behind the objects. Try to offset your flashlight to the right side of the camera so you avoid the shadows directly behind your objects look. And then you can add a low wattage fill light at the opposite side of your camera flash to soften up the light a bit more :)

Max, I will try this!

When you say low wattage, what are we talking here?

I thought something like half or a quarter the intensity of the flashlight or you could to make it all simpler just utilize multilight and then adjust it when you rendered your scene :) that's the most optimal solution.

Very realistic d7mcfc!

Once, Otacon had posted a darts scene, too ;)

Thanks Tom.

I love Otacon's image...

Obviously the next step is to model a board! It was a test, but I may carry it a bit further now.
