bery bery old model I know, but I recently had to come up with a convincing fiberglass mat, and thought this would be a good scene to test.
here's one of many shader I've been working on. very bad tiling here and there, but I haven't had time to paint high res maps yet.

btw, I'd like to thank thomas again for his great testing scene, really really useful.

yet another nice material Rivoli!

is the scale of the map a little out maybe?? only improvment I could suggest would be to increse the hairiness of the map at stress points on the chair. Just an idea!

yes, I guess it is. it wasn't my main concern to do proper mapping, but you're right, as it is now it looks more like a crossing between leather and a leaf.

it's a good one, once I'm done with the shader I'll paint a proper map for this.

thanks fran, jd, michael. glad you like it, I have so many "fiberglass.mxm"s around here I can't even tell one from another anymore.

I must admit I was hoping for the "porch rocking chair fiberglass" though.

This I would rate a 10 on the mxm board. Materials dont get much real than this.

Awesome material, those spikes at the back, should they be sticking out like that?
