messing around.. smart car

got this great model of a smart car..so figured i'd throw it into a model i had of a couple blocks of manhattan (+ some generic 'filler' buildings)..
i know this is pretty simple.. but if you can comment, that'd be great..trying to learn studio a bit and not rely on the plugin, really..

Nice rendering, try to add bump map on your tyres.

tread would def. be helpful..can i do that with a bump map and a cylindrical projector?

Hey mate how's it hanging?
You can do it with a bump map, though I have tried with little good result. The use of a normal map to produce the bump would be the way to go.
As far as using a projector to get the material positioned that might be a hard one to achieve as MR will have the tread on all four tyres as one object and assign the projector over the lot!
Assuming you are using SU for export I'd probably apply the map in SU where you can map it easier and the UV map will stick.
It's good to hear another SU user playing with studio as most just don't want to go there and I find it just isn't the monster most feel it is! Sure it ain't no SU. Mind you in saying that I once tried to work my way around the projectors and since have closed that window and vowed NEVER TO GO THERE AGAIN!
