Hey all,
Update 1/8/6
New update with a wallpaper test, I only used a small low res map which needs to be reworked, also a very quick leather material for the arm chair.
A quick test render of my latest scene, lots more todo yet.

C&C's welcome
Cheers
John

Very good start, John.
I like most the bottom glass reflection.
You're a superHeRo.

Nice start Hero ....... good to see your back on the horse named maxwell.

The only thing that bothers me a little is that the chair kinda looks like it's sitting about two feet off the ground. It might just be my eyes... but thought I would mention it... because the image is great!

very nice luminosity, materials, colors! and the scene is realistic in itself (not too much "clean and design").. your work is always very interesting!

John, the chess set and table are fabulous. The lighting is fabulous. The setting detracts from that for me. The black leather of the chair camouflages the black chess pieces. And, to me, the chair seems like too much mass. The camera angle is good for showing the chess set, but it makes the placement of the chair seem very weird and discomfitting. I liked the wall texture in the first version a lot. The wallpaper, not so much.
