Thanks guys.

I´ve tested the machine with a 7 million poly scene, so i´ll try to get around or less than that.
Some of the separate building segments will be placed in symmetry objects, so i can save a lot of polys there.
Basically, i could get away with modeling only one half of the building and mirror it. :)

Another update.
Two more sets of ornaments in the gaps to finish up the top of the main dome, then i can get started on the body.
Placing these amounts of detail on curved surfaces is a pain in the a**, to put it mildly...

Ok, just finished up the main dome. Next i´m going to start working on the body.

Edit: Just noticed that two of the shield-plated rows at the top of the first image needs to be rotated slightly...

Another update.

Windows and some minor detail left on this piece before i can start on the next part.
I used an old Poser model and grabbed the head for some detail. I´ll probably use a few Poser characters for the large statues later on as well.
Me and character modeling... :)
