I´ve tested the machine with a 7 million poly scene, so i´ll try to get around or less than that.
Some of the separate building segments will be placed in symmetry objects, so i can save a lot of polys there.
Basically, i could get away with modeling only one half of the building and mirror it.
Another update.
Two more sets of ornaments in the gaps to finish up the top of the main dome, then i can get started on the body.
Placing these amounts of detail on curved surfaces is a pain in the a**, to put it mildly...
Windows and some minor detail left on this piece before i can start on the next part.
I used an old Poser model and grabbed the head for some detail. I´ll probably use a few Poser characters for the large statues later on as well.
