Looking at the ghost image it seems that the particle size is more evident there. I'm thinking that size question is related to res. Did you have a chance to look at the file I sent?

No I haven't looked at your file yet. I don't think it's resolution dependent, but scale dependent. I'll take a look when I get the chance.
