Hi all,

This is a work in progress. Beyond the building, the landscape is just desert land mainly dirt and sand. No plants. I created a texture in PS and mapped it. But I am not really happy with it. I was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers, examples on creating large ground textures. In this case dirt.

Thanks,

Aaron

Looks good. I would say render a z-depth pass and use it to add slight haze in PS since it's such a far ranging shot. Also, I'd tone down the bright colors of the vehicles as they pull away the eye from the building.

Brian,

What is the proper method of applying the z-depth pass in Photoshop?

render z pass
load as alpha channel in p shop
activate and invert this alpha
apply gaussian blur with radius... probably 2-4 pixels in this case
