Hi,
So here is the deal, i need to remove the wood inserts on the floor and then walls from theese two renderings. And i need to do it tonight in orther to render in time. Since i need to render anyway again, i would also like to get some comments and maybe change some of the things that i am not seeing from looking at them for so long.
Another question is light. I have these images lit only by sunlight with an HDRI image beaming at a level 80 downstairs and 40 upstairs. Any other tricks on getting a bit more light in without burning the whites anymore on the hot spots and also not too much increase on the rendering time.

my suggestion would be to remove the frame - its really disturbing.. everything else looks okay as far as i can tell.. its not photorealistic but naturalistic - seems to be enough to convince your clients. maybe a bit more reflections.. im really missing them. everything seems very lambertian

edit: you should think about toning the walls a bit down in brightness as they really seem burnt out at some spots and on the other hand add a layer off slight glossy-reflections to them (of course with a specular map to randomize the result a bit)

What rgb is your white wall material?

The thing is, you may have made it a very bright material, but since you would need a pretty low ISO and shutterspeed value indoors to make it look like the overall environment is brighter, then those bright walls will blow out very quickly.

If you instead lower their rgb value you can raise the ISO or/and shutter speed of the camera more, without blowing out the walls so quickly. It will make everything look more balanced.

That's a good point Mihai. Right now the RGB for the main layer is 210 210 212 and then i added a second layer with a weight map of a blurry soft reflection inverted and a roughness of 40 with a concrete kind material. I also added that same conc. to the reflection 0 and using a RGB of 103 103 103. i'm not sure if it is good or if it will give me some randomness on the white, i'm stressing this one out, not a good week.

Exactly my first thoughts!!

I'm not very keen of the texture of your marble floor... it kind of resembles reflections of clouds.

And on the design part.. the M and F seem huge! Bigger than a person in comparison and wider than a door.. that's strange.

Hi,

to get the dark areas a bit brighter try the "Shadow/Highlight" adjustment in Photoshop!

Very nice work! The only thing that I don't like is the textures (or the texture scale).

... some bump on the brick wall and a better (or simply better scaled) material on the wooden path in the floor.

I agree about the frame.

Good work,

Yes, please lose the frame - it detracts from the images.

I would also cut out most of the figures. I'd only have a couple of the better looking ones per image - just to provide a bit of scale.

In the first photo, I'd keep the guy on the upper level in the white shirt, the near guy on the phone, and the folks at the desks and shelves.

Second photo, keep the female on the bridge, the receptionist, and the folks at the computers in the back.

Most of the other ones look too CG, an make the images very busy (visually).

Okay, Okay, i'll lose the border
I changed some things, specially the materials. I left everything as far as walls and the petina metal on white. I also removed the wood inserts on the floor. Hopefully this will ease down the visual bissyness of the overall. I did leave the people on it, i know they look to cg but so far Axyz design is the best alternative i have, i don't like clipmaps because they aready have light on it and it becomes a bit of a pain. They also want the place to look bussy and in use. I made the bricks white as well and increased the overall mapping on the floor. Also changed the light so that it does not hit the middle so strongly.
It is only at a design development level so i think i got carried away trying to make it look full and finished (as far as design)

Most importantly i what to thank you all for leaving the bul shit out and giving me your honest oppinions. I really appreciate that. :)
They are rendering right now because deadline is next week and i still need to do the exterior.

Talk to you soon. and thanks, but keep on going
