I have installed the RC2 and the plugin. When I hit the render button in 3D Max it loads up Studio and starts to render is this suppose to happen?

I just tried using max after having installed RC2 now. When I hit render, Studio does not open up, but mxcl snaps to attention and begins to render. The result is pretty good to, albeit no sun, no textures, etc.

I did notice one thing, my computer runs much better if I go this route, than when I have Studio open (max closed) and render from there...if I do that, my computer practically becomes unusable. I mean just opening the XP start menu takes a year.

Don't know why.

Bottom line, max is working with currently limited mxcl.

You get that error because it can't find the "path" for the tagra file. On your render screen click on the Render options tab where it says output file to the right you should see:

"C:\Program Files\NextLimit\Maxwell\output/default.tga"

Change this so your output file is a .JPG (Need to make sure the path points to an jpg file other wise it wont save.

Hope this helps you

ps You mite have to do this everytime you render
