hello all

I don't know if that was posted before, but I get an error message if I want to assign maxwell as renderer in max.

"Cannot find mxcl.exe in the Windows Registry. Please reinstall Maxwell."

I installed maxwell on my D:\ drive, is this the problem?

any help would be appreciated.

best regards

Check that the MAXWELL_ROOT environment variable is defined. Go to "System" in the Control Panel, the "Advanced" tab, and click on "Environment Variables". A MAXWELL_ROOT entry should show up under "User variables". If it doesn't, create it and set its value to the path where Maxwell is installed.

Did you switch user accounts after installing Maxwell? This can happen if you install Maxwell as one user, then try to use it as another user on the same machine.

Worked perfect after that fix. Thanks for the post.
