Material translation

Is there any progress on Material Translation capabilities? I know that standard materials can be translated but I would like to know about Mental Ray materials, Architectural materials and Raytrace materials.
Also I would like to know if it will be possible to transform a procedural material to an image and then apply it to a Maxwell material (probably through maxscript).

JTB,
It's all can be made with maxscript, yes, but I think it's not my job to do it really, but NL's.

Of course, actually I was expecting an answer from NL.

Hi.

There will be various materials translation, but I can't give you an ETA for it.

No problem, it's good to know it's on your to-do list

we can render procedurals directly in the max mat editor, define rez output etc, look in the menus on top

Yes, I know, I was talking about translation, not creation... I know that we can render noise and save it as image.
But , I would like to open a scene with architectural materials and be able to make a render just by adding Maxwell environment, like I can do with standard mats... It is a nice solution for Revit which exports architectural mats (at least that's how MAX translates them.
