Image based issues

Is image based env. working correctly? When I use screen mapped for background, I can't see the image (MXI).
Also, as someone mentioned, offset is not working correctly

What is and what isn't working?
Actually I would like a (YES/NO) list for every feature of 1.5 from a NL member.

I've just tested it and it works fine. Are you sure it's not an issue with the image intensity or anything? Does it work if you set up the environment in Studio and render? Can you export the MXS, load it in Studio and see if the parameters for the background layer are set correctly?

Offset works in the same way it did in 1.1 - you need to enter a value between 0 and 1. Studio 1.5 displays the values multiplied by 100, so if in Studio you use a value of 45, in the plug-in you need to specify 0.45. The change log erroneously mentions the range for offset to have been changed to [0..100], in reality you still need to set it up like in 1.1.

What do you mean by 1.5 features? The new material attributes (matte and shadows) work; the new shadow render channel works; the "hide to reflections and refractions" and "hide to z clip" object flags work; z clipping works. The only feature that does not work is motion blur, as mentioned in the change list, but that is not a plug-in issue. We are not aware of any other broken features, but of course we always listen to bug reports and try to fix any problems as soon as possible.

Thank you for your answer, I will test again and send screen shots...
Actually I was just asking for a list of maxwell features that don't work correctly and need to be fixed... If there are any...
I know about motion blur, I don't need it much anyway...

But that looks like a Studio limitation, it doesn't display the background image in the viewport if it's screen mapped. The image still renders fine in MXCL, doesn't it? How is this related to the Max plug-in?

OK, it's a studio limitation, nothing to do with Max plugin, I know ... I use Max so I guess I was reading this forum...that's why it was posted here...

Juan just told me that screen mapping works in camera viewports but not in the perspective viewport. Right click a camera and select "Make active" as a workaround.
