Fireflies with Max?

Hey all -
I posted in the bug thread but haven't heard anything. Is anyone else experiencing fireflies with the Max plugin? I'm rendering some test stuff only, but it seems anytime I have transparent materials (made a glass using the wizard, and one from the MXM gallery) I am getting white fireflies.
It has happened on single machines and co-op renders.
Anyone else? Is NL aware of this problem for the Max side?
Thanks

Hi Bogdan -
Not exactly: I am getting white dots, not black, and I am not using an MXI texture as an emitter. I have narrowed it down to 1 of 3 emitters in the scene causing the white dots. It has the same basic emitter setup as the others (rgb colour, intensity set to lumens) the only difference is that the problem one is much higher intensity.
If I hide that emitter the problem goes away.
I have tried changing the rgb colour and size and position of the emitter to no avail. I tried lowering the intensity but at any range where it's useful I get fireflies.
So - is this part of the same problem that's being looked into for the next update or something new?
Thanks

I followed those, and some others, but I'm not getting anything conclusive. Maybe I'm a bit dense: is this basically a 1.5 rendering engine bug that is being looked into already?
Thanks!

Could you share the scene to have a better look at this problem?

On it's way now. Thank you for looking into this.

Hey Bogdan - just wondering if you had any idea what might be going on with that firefly issue as of yet?
Thanks

How have you applied the emitter material? Is it through a top-level material or a multi-sub-object material?

Simple material applied to single-face planes.
