Problem resuming render

Hi, can I resume a mxi file , from a scene created from within 3dsmax?
I specify the mxi file location, and hit render. But later, when I want to resume the render, from mxcl, I pick "resume mxi", choose the proper file, and it appears a message telling :" not found. Do you want to search it manually?, click "yes" and it browses to pick a mxs file.
The problem is that, from within 3dsmax , it's not possible to specify an mxs output path, because maxwell saves a temporary mxs file (with .tmp extension), and when it finishes rendering, it deletes the file.

Any workaround?

You can allways export the mxs file from max
File -> Export -> mxs

That's not a workaround, that's the solution.

.mxi file is bound to the .mxs scene file. When you render from 3dsmax and you're interested only in the resulted output image, the plug-in is only giving you the result you're after, and deletes all temporary files needed to create that output (.mxs, .mxi and other channel files).

Since you're interested in the .mxi output, you're interested in the .mxs file too. The 3dsmax's way of translating the current scene to another format, .mxs in this case, is through "File->Export".
