Hey there,

I've tried to install Maxwell 1.5 in VIZ 2008, but when I start it up I recieve they following message error

Loading DLLs

DLL <C:\Program Files\Autodesk\VIZ2008\PlugIns\maxwell.dlr>failed to initialize.
Error code: 127

However, when I copy the .dlr file into the VIZ 2007 plugin folder I don't receive this message and it runs fine.

Has this something to do with VIZ 2008? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated here

Or this if you're on a 64-bit OS: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en .

Thank you,

but it doesn't solve the problem unfortunately. I have Windows XP here.

Could this be caused because VIZ 2007 and VIZ 2008 are running both on the same computer or so?

Download this tool please: http://www.dependencywalker.com/depends22_x86.zip .

Run it and go to Options -> Configure Module Search Order. Click browse in the lower-right corner and point it to the directory where Viz 2008 is installed. Click "Add Directory" in the lower-left corner and then click "OK". Go to File -> Open and open the maxwell.dlr file from the Viz 2008 directory. It will probably show you a message box saying that errors were detected while processing the file. Click OK then go to File -> Save and it will save a report file. Please send this report file to mihnea.balta@gmail.com and we'll try to figure out what's going on.

Thanks.

For future reference, we've managed to track down the problem with fellazb's help. Up until VIZ 2008, you needed to use the maxwell.dlr file for Max 7. This has changed with VIZ 2008, you now have to use the Max 9 plug-in.
