I hadn't noticed it before, but I was removing some programs off my computer (Windows XP) when I noticed that the size of the 3ds Max plugin for maxwell is 6.8 GB!!!

Is anybody else's like that?

How'd I know that was coming?

Anyway, it's funny, if I check the plugin directory of 3ds max, the file "maxwell.dlr" is 936 KB, but in the "Add/Remove Programs" it's 6,833 MB.

BTW, on my desktop, it's 9,936 MB. (Hmmmm, if I take off that first "9" then I'm good to go).

Oh brother. In the end, I guess who cares...just thought it was bizarre.

You guys are all talking about the size reported in Add/Remove Programs, right? Don't pay any attention to it...this is a known bug/limitation of that utility...it rarely reports the correct size for an application.

We didn't explicitly set the "installed size" for the add/remove programs utility, therefore Windows tries to guess. The results are what usually happens when Windows tries to guess something. :)

You may also get a weird icon there. That's because we didn't set an uninstall icon either, so the utility picks a (seemingly) random one from the other programs that you have installed. On my computer it shows up with the Firefox icon.

Both bugs are harmless, but we'll fix them in the next release.
