don't know if this has been discussed before (i'm sure it has been) but I could not find any answers to it.

I'm using v1.1 - when i do test renders 640x480 it renders fine but when i bump it up to 1100x1700 it crashes maxwell and does not render.

anybody? help.......!

Are you rendering from the plug in?

Usually Maxwell will crash if memory runs out. Run task manager whilst trying to render to find out.

Edit- also check that multilight and auto exposure are NOT turned on at the same time. One or the other will work, both will crash Maxwell.

I do have multi light and auto exposure turned on at the same time. How do u turn off auto exposure?

Hi, there should be a check box in the Maxwell settings section of the render dialogue. (F10)

I can't recall the exact location, as I haven't got 3DSMax with me atm.

You can turn it off in Studio, if you open the mxs.
