where do the render channels (alpha, z-depth etc.) go?

There's probably a very simple answer to this, but i can't find my channel-renders after the render finishes. With the previous plugins, they ended up in the C:\Program Files\Next Limit\Maxwell\output-folder, but not anymore. I've tried specifying a path for the MXI, but the channels aren't saved there either. Only option right now is to save them one at a time from the framebuffer, and that seems a little weird.

I know that alpha follows the path of the rendered image, I guess the others do the same.

Thanks...but come to think of it, I don't really know where the rendered image goes right now, since it is not the output folder either.

You have to use "Save File" in the "Render Output" group from the Common render settings tab. If you don't, the render output goes to some temporary files which are deleted after the images are brought into frame buffer window(s).

The extra render channels are saved in the same directory as the color channel. Their file names are formed by adding various prefixes to the color image name (z_ for depth, alpha_ for alpha etc.). The prefixes are added by the renderer itself, you can't change them.
