multimat works for u or not?

i just trested with a very simple scene. it has multiple objects and they all share one multimaterial. when i render from within max i get this:

> Checking Data...
>> Loading Bitmaps & Preprocessing Data...
>> Error: object buttons has triangles without material

if i assign a single-material i can render easily.
with v1.0 i could render multimat without this problem.

do you experience the same? multimat broken?

mmmh im clueless...the last 3 hours i tried to understand why maxwell thinks its missing a material-id.
since it renders fine with a single material it has to do with the material id. but what else can i do as selecting all polys and reassign material and reassign material id....but the result is: icant get rid of the error.

...has anyone at all had any sucess with this multi sub?

...i can get the max ui to show the correct mapping with a 2 mxm multisub but as soon as i hit render i get the triangles problem.. :cry:

I haven't had any luck with it. I hope this and the stupid projection issue is fixed soon.

I gave up this days ago =( even tried MAX plugin 1.0 on MW 1.1

I'm just using detach on the selected faces until 1.2

For me it didn't work with Max plugin. Had same errors.
But when i opened generated mxs in studio, it was fine.

I think the solution for all MAX plugin problems -as I read from others- is to use 1.0 plugin with 1.1 engine. I don't know if this can be of any help for multi mats though.
