Anyone...
Will Maxwell 1.0 have Hair&Furr support? I know that it can work by turning the hair to Mesh, but even then Max will crash....
It would be much easier to have maxwell beign able to render the geometry with the hair modifyer. i did not see it on the full feature list yet maybe its coming after....

Since Maxwell is not a MAX application but a standalone renderer, it seems logical that some of MAX characteristics are not supported.
I think nothing will change, you will still have to translate to a mesh but I believe there will be a much better memory handling from Maxwell so maybe it will not always crash.

yes, it may even happen that at some point maxwell will have its own fur/hair system, but as jtb says, there's no chance it will support max's.

I don't expect maxwell to have a fur/hair system in the near feature.
I would be very happy to see that every improvement in the nexr 1.xx releases are about speed, dielectrics and displacement.

Hellow insomnia3d

Here http://www.maxwellrender.es/modules.php ... opic&t=195
you can see a mini tutorial make by me that explict how use fur and fair modifier with maxwell. It´s in spanish but if you can´t understand i´ll translate if you want.
After you corvert in mesh ,you must go to render panel-effects and switch off hair and fur

Sorry by my bad english and cheers

Thanks jespi,
That is how i do it, but you have to realize the amount of memory that a tiny patch takes. And you can't do animations, but it would be great if NL would come out with a simulator would be great.
Real Flow/Maxwell Render/Maxwell Hair&Fur&cloth?
Thanks for the link anyway.
You can write in spanish if you'd like- yo soy Mierense.

I agree with you insomnia, it would be great if NL come out with a simulator :D .

Cheers
