Hi Kenneth, from what you're describing it seem to me that it's either a scale issue, or that the sun position is directly above your scene.

Are you able to post an mxs file so we can test?


Also in the image you posted, is the sun lighting the scene or an emitter?

It looks like you've reached skydome's limit with your geometry. That cylinder is huge, isn't it?
