problem with exporting

hi there
that what i did :
i extract the maxwell RC plugin in to 3dmax plugin folder . i went and i checked in the pluging list and it said louded. but when i go to export i cant find the mxs type ? is a problem with my 3d max or i am doing some thing wrong . i think i am missing something

now should i go under file/export then open it in rc ?

Under Maxwell Rendering properties you have System -> Output. Ther you can find 2 field for settings where to save your mxs and where your rendered image.

but i still cant open my 3dmax file in to the RC5 !!!!!!!! and i cant export it to rc 5

just show me how to import the 3d max file to rc i have tried every thing . it would be nice if you take some snap shot .....

try to open in Studio the generated .mxs file and... voilĂ ... your model with materials camera and lights is there...
Directly importing 3dsmax in Studio is impossible, and it will forever because .max file format is the more closed ever I think. If you want to open the file directly in studio without .mxs try to export it in a format allowed as .obj .3ds .fbx .lwo and so on...

okey but when i tryed 3ds RC5 closed by it self !!!!or crash

okey i think i understan what u ment by mxs file ... al i need is to save it as maxwell file and open it .... in RC thx man it was just miss understanding .....
