Textures are not working for me in 3ds Max 8

MXM was created in RC3 using .bmp for the map

I loaded a .bmp into the Reflectance texture slot for a new MXM material that was created in RC Studio.

The new material was then loaded into the material browser for my scene in Max 8 and rendered in Max with RC3 and the Dec 10 Maxwell plugin.

The scanline render image is included merely to illustrate the UVW map setup.

I was curious why textures are working for some people and not others.

This may well have been an exercise in futility with the posting of RC4 and plugins.

We shall see.

Downloaded and installed RC4 with the latest Max plugin.

Got an image to render with textures.

What I found is:

Maxwell Diffuse (old style like Beta, ah Beta) using a .bmp works in both 3ds Max and Studio RC4.

Maxwell Emitter or MXM emitter works in neither 3ds Max nor Maxwell Studio RC4.

MXM reflectance (with .bmp in the texture slot) does not work in 3ds Max or Studio RC4.
