Post your questions here until a manual is available. Myself and my beta team friends will do our best to help you get started with RC 1. For the benefit of all, let's keep this thread for operation of Maxwell only, not "when will X be available, etc."

Thanks!

Ok. How do I use this? I tried rendering through 3ds max, but the plugin is still looking for mxcl.exe (which is no longer there). I have an mxst.exe now.

I tried using that and importing geometry, but its crashed twice so far.

Will the existing Cinema4D plugin drive RC enough to transfer a scene to Maxwell?

Okay--I too am having lock-ups when trying to import .3DS files. I'm going to restart the machine and try .OBJ -- I uninstalled the last beta before I installed RC1; was that a bad idea?

Ok, I opened an mxs file in Studio and I can see my model. I chose a camera. Now what? I hit the render button, but nothing is happening.

maybe I am doing something wrong

Same here when I render from solidworks with the RC1 and updatded plugin. It exports my scene, but then i get the same error message once it goes to launch the maxwell viewer. Not a good start I must say.

Nothing is importing. Doesn't crash but nothing is there. Am I not doing something right?
Upon rendering.....it waits a bit and the program disappears!
