possible to continue rendering an anim. after predefined SL?

hi guys...
let's say I render an animation making each frame get to sample level 15. Is it possible to later on, "re render" this animation and let's say using the existing data to get to SL 25 and not do everything again?
I know this can be done with stills but haven't found info for animations.
