Physical sky?

I don't know the answer to this so I'm hoping that someone out there will. I've been asked on other forums whether or not Maxwell can accurately simulate different sky types. For instance a couple of years ago the CIE released the General Skies models which provided mathematical models of 15 sky types based on luminance distributions of real skies. They consisted of 5 clear, 5 partly cloudy and 5 overcast skies, these are the standard models used in lighting analysis. So my question is will or can Maxwell accurately simulate these kinds of lighting conditions?

No one knows the answer to this? I would think this is pretty important considering Maxwell is going to be an unbiased renderer.
