look at the benchmarks. I think that overall the intel might be faster but I guess since you are here, you probably care about rendering and the AMD is definetly better. You should checked out google there are tons of benchmarks. I don't think that the 4400 is really worth more thatn the 4200. I mean they are just about the same, but I have a 4200 and my friend has a D840 and we get just a about the same times. I still think that the AMD is better since is a real dual core systems not like Intels which are a hack poorly done in nine months.

I agree with comment on 4400 - I've just ordered a 4200 so i'm only a little biased

I can't help it but for now AMD is the way to go. Intel is supposed to be annoucing their new technology today so maybe is good to keep an eye on it, but as of now the pentium are not good.
