Playing around with a few Poser props - really just trying to find something to render that dosent' need transparancey maps.......
Anyway, none of the modelling done by me -all purchased from DAZ3d or Renderosity. Took quite a lot of time to re-texture the hallway prop. Red and blue lights using mxi emitters. all white lights are standard emitters. Still not too happy with the lighting. PS'ed it to auto levels.

Thanks for the comments guys! I think what I'll do is tone down the lighting coming from the strips along the floor and ceiling to cut back on the diffuse lighting. Then put a "spot" light over the main character to bring more attention to him. I'd like to keep the robot in the dimmer light as it is now - to give more of a menacing quality to his presence. I'm not too happy with the red control lights either. still getting a grip on how to adjust the MXI settings on intensity and what-not.
I'm also going to increase he specular level for the space suit to bring out more hightlights from the light behind. Possibly also use plastic for his skin so there's a bit of specularity coming off his head as well.
Back to the drawing board!

How about adding two small red emitters on the robots head, as his eyes... You know... So that he has a menacing look or something

n1tram -
He actually does have one red eye, though I'm afraid it's a bit washed out with the overhead red light.
