nope, now you need to convert that hair in meshes for maxwell to render it: add a "mesh from strand" modifier on top of the other ones.

seriously though, this forum is not the right place for asking questions about other applications than maxwell. there's the ot one for thhese kind of things.
i'd suggest you either to post your doubt or questions directly at the ornatrix forums, or to pm zuliban asking to him how he did that rug.
